Automotive Systems Diagnostic and Troubleshooting Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Automotive Systems Diagnostic and Troubleshooting Engineer to independently diagnose vehicle systems, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, and create comprehensive guided troubleshooting content for automotive applications.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose electronic, mechanical, and electrical system problems in vehicles using industry‑standard testers and diagnostic tools such as OBD‑II scanners, multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Identify and interpret Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) to determine root causes and conduct comprehensive vehicle testing, including component testing and system validation.
• Create high‑quality automotive diagnostic content and guided troubleshooting procedures using authoring tools, based on hands‑on diagnostic experience.

Required profile

• 3 to 13 years of experience in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of gasoline, diesel, comfort and safety systems, including sensor and actuator workflows.
• Understanding of automotive electrical wiring diagrams, wire colour codes, connectors, symbols and DIN standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OBD‑II scanners, multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Experience with OE testers and interpreting OE descriptions.
• Familiarity with hybrid and electric vehicle (HV/EV) systems.
