Associate Site Manager

About the role

ABB is seeking an Associate Site Manager to lead on‑site activities for medium to large projects within the Process Automation in Energy division in India. This temporary position (1‑2 years) focuses on cost‑effective execution, safety, quality and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor all on‑site activities from start‑up to completion, ensuring alignment with contract specifications, quality, schedule and safety requirements.
• Implement and enforce HSE policies, halting unsafe activities when necessary.
• Maintain relationships with customers, authorities, suppliers and manage subcontractors to meet project timelines and quality expectations.
• Oversee material handling, reconciliation, timely delivery and manage project costs, petty cash and local purchasing within agreed limits.
• Ensure equipment commissioning as per design, coordinate with OEMs and manage final site handover with complete documentation.

Required profile

• B.E/B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics from a reputable university.
• 5‑12 years of experience in project execution, with a focus on site management and equipment commissioning.
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals or other industrial production processes.
• Experience handling large‑scale Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation and Telecommunication projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical equipment and commissioning procedures.
• Ability to manage various process instruments and control equipment.
• Excellent communication, coordination and team‑building skills.
