Associate Relationship Manager – Joint Liability Group (JLG)

About the role

The Associate Relationship Manager – JLG supports the Relationship Manager in deepening banking relationships with customers, focusing on Joint Liability Groups (JLG) and community centres. The role involves acquiring new clients, managing loan cycles, and delivering high‑quality service throughout the formation, disbursal and collection phases.

Key responsibilities

• Map household needs in assigned villages and manage zoning activities.
• Conduct end‑user checks after loan disbursal and meet monthly/annual group loan booking targets.
• Assess client needs, identify cross‑sell opportunities and generate new revenue streams.
• Drive acquisition of liability products, open accounts and achieve individual and branch sales goals.
• Maintain high collection efficiency through disciplined follow‑up.
• Ensure accurate loan and savings documentation and coordinate timely data entry with operations staff.
• Monitor compliance with bank policies, perform field audits and verify customer information.
• Gather market intelligence, benchmark against competitors and propose process improvements.
• Support livelihood advancement and community development initiatives.

Required profile

• Graduate degree.
• 0‑2 years of relevant branch banking experience.
• Strong ability to build and nurture customer relationships.
• Willingness to work in rural or semi‑urban environments and travel to field locations.
• Orientation toward meeting sales and collection targets.
