Indirect Tax Specialist (FLO) – Job Band 11

About the role

The Indirect Tax Specialist (FLO) will manage a wide range of tax matters for multiple business units, including sales tax, wealth tax, fringe benefit tax and foreign exchange exposure. The role involves close liaison with income tax authorities, internal departments and external legal consultants to ensure compliance and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Handle sales tax compliance for SFD and EFD units.
• Prepare and argue appeals for subsidiaries and investment companies before income tax authorities.
• Coordinate tax‑related inputs during planning and budgeting cycles.
• Prepare applications under sections 80G and 35(1)(ii) and follow up for approvals.
• Finalize balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, notes to accounts and statutory audit reports for subsidiary companies.
• Compile wealth tax reports and compute net wealth for multiple units.
• Calculate and remit advance fringe benefit tax and produce annual fringe benefit tax audit reports.
• Generate forex exposure reports, gain/loss statements and manage import payment documentation.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Indian indirect tax laws, including sales tax, wealth tax and fringe benefit tax.
• Experience preparing statutory audit documentation and financial statements.
• Ability to interact with tax authorities, legal consultants and internal finance teams.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet strict filing deadlines.
