Associate Professor – Computer Applications

About the role

The Associate Professor – Computer Applications will lead teaching, research, and academic service in the fields of Computer Science, Information Technology, and related disciplines. The role involves curriculum development, mentorship of faculty and students, and active participation in institutional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses covering Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Data Science, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, and related areas.
• Design, update, and deliver course content, assessments, and evaluations using modern e‑learning tools, case‑based and experiential methods.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research, publish in reputable journals and conferences, and secure external research grants.
• Participate in curriculum development, academic planning, accreditation processes (NBA, NAAC, ABET), and departmental activities.
• Guide junior faculty, contribute to peer reviews, and support faculty development initiatives.
• Mentor students on academic and career matters and promote student involvement in research and innovation.
• Develop industry‑academia partnerships, MoUs, and collaborative programs, and represent the department at national and international forums.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Applications, IT, Computer Science or a closely related field.
• Master’s degree (MCA/M.Sc. IT/MTech or equivalent) with first‑class standing.
• Minimum of 8 years of teaching, research, or industry experience, including at least 3 years as an Assistant Professor.
