Associate, Procurement

About the role

We are looking for an Associate in Procurement to join Whirlpool India’s sourcing team. The role will support the procurement of finished‑product commodities such as air conditioners, washers, microwaves and other home‑appliance categories, ensuring cost‑effective and reliable supply.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders at corporate and factory levels.
• Execute commodity sourcing strategies for finished‑product categories, aligning with relevant stakeholders.
• Negotiate terms with external suppliers, track functional metrics and manage supplier agreements.
• Manage total cost of ownership, including bill of materials, overall cost structure, quality and logistics.
• Coordinate with business partners to meet production plans, release purchase orders and prepare monthly MIS reports for leadership.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and suppliers on new product launches and performance expectations.
• Perform risk management for supply contracts and identify improvement opportunities to add value.
• Support value‑based initiatives and create justification for new projects to improve business performance.
