FSTD Technical Support Engineer

About the role

The FSTD Technical Support Engineer ensures the reliable operation of flight simulation training devices at Airbus India Training Centre. The role provides 24/7 front‑line technical support to instructors and trainees, coordinating maintenance and troubleshooting to meet Airbus training standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with FSTD technicians to maintain device reliability and comply with Airbus training standards.
• Perform daily simulator operations, version changes, pre‑flights and instructor calls.
• Plan, execute, and document preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, including software updates.
• Conduct on‑site troubleshooting, resolve hardware failures, and provide detailed reports on discrepancies.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure compliance with the Compliance Monitoring System.
• Participate in reliability improvement projects, aircraft database updates, and safety initiative reporting.

Required profile

• Higher education in Electronic or Aeronautical Engineering or an AME course.
• 1–3 years recent experience in FSTD maintenance and support.
• Familiarity with Authority FSTD certification and compliance audits.
• Ability to work a 24/7 shift roster and provide support outside normal working hours.
