Associate Engineer – AWS DevOps

About the role

HARMAN Automotive is looking for an enthusiastic AWS DevOps Engineer to join its automotive technology team. You will help design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure that power in‑vehicle infotainment and safety systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for building, testing and deploying applications.
• Set up and manage AWS cloud resources (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch) using Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
• Automate deployment processes with scripting (Shell/Python) and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Monitor applications and infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline release workflows.
• Manage source code repositories, branching strategies and resolve pipeline failures.
• Apply basic security and compliance best practices in DevOps pipelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, practices and processes.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in DevOps or CI/CD engineering.
• Practical exposure to AWS services and automation tools.
• Strong problem‑solving, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Proactive mindset toward automation, reliability and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• AWS services: EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch.
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions (or similar).
• Version control: Git.
• Scripting: Shell, Python.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation.
• Containers: Docker; exposure to Kubernetes/EKS.
• Operating systems: Linux.
• Networking basics: ports, DNS, security groups.
• Monitoring/logging: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
• Agile/Scrum environment familiarity.
• Optional: DevSecOps practices, microservices architecture, AWS certification.
