Associate Director, Joint Process Team Leader – Dry External Manufacturing

About the role

The Joint Process Team (JPT) Leader for Dry External Manufacturing will act as the primary liaison between Lilly and assigned contract manufacturers producing solid‑dosage pharmaceutical products. The role is based in Lilly’s new Manufacturing and Quality Technical Hub in Hyderabad, India and reports to senior manufacturing leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the cross‑functional Joint Process Team between Lilly and the contract manufacturer.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for contract manufacturing of dry‑product solid dosage forms.
• Prioritize and manage projects to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
• Maintain accountability for product quality, supply continuity, and the technical agenda at one or more contract sites.
• Build and nurture internal and external relationships across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, engineering, and technical services.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and monitor performance metrics.
• Support regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to Lilly’s standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in pharmaceutical dry‑product manufacturing, especially solid‑dosage forms.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage contract manufacturing relationships.
• Strong background in ensuring product quality and supply reliability.
• Experience coordinating with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and engineering functions.
