Associate – Chemicals, Fuels & Resources Advisory

About the role

PwC is seeking an Associate to join its Chemicals, Fuels & Resources Advisory team in Mumbai. The role focuses on sustainability, climate‑change mitigation, energy efficiency and renewable‑energy consulting for clients in the chemical sector. You will collaborate with senior advisors, analyse client data, develop recommendations and support the implementation of sustainability initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support growth and diversification strategy engagements, including global market analysis, competitor benchmarking and opportunity identification.
• Assist in building business cases and value strategies by assessing opportunities, sizing benefits and estimating cost components for large‑scale transformation programmes.
• Conduct commercial due‑diligence, validate business plans and formulate go‑to‑market strategies, including customer assessments.
• Develop supply‑chain and procurement strategies for clients in the chemicals domain.
• Analyse client needs and devise strategies to reduce greenhouse‑gas emissions.
• Provide guidance on renewable‑energy solutions and energy‑efficiency measures to help clients transition to a low‑carbon economy.

Required profile

• Associate‑level professional with consulting or industry experience in chemicals, fuels or sustainability.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
