Assistant Professor – Finance (Teaching & Research)

About the role

Dayananda Sagar University seeks an Assistant Professor in Finance to join its School of Commerce and Management Studies. The role combines high‑quality teaching, research, and mentorship for undergraduate and postgraduate finance programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and tutorials in core finance subjects such as Financial Management, Equity Markets, Derivatives, Business Valuation, Fintech, and Mergers & Acquisitions.
• Design and update curriculum, create innovative teaching materials, and assess student performance.
• Mentor students on academic projects, supervise research, and contribute to departmental committees.
• Publish research papers in reputable journals (ABDC/WoS/Scopus) and engage in consultancy or industry collaborations.
• Organise webinars, workshops, and management development programmes.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Finance or a related discipline.
• First‑class Master’s degree (MBA/PGDM equivalent) accredited by AIU/AICTE/UGC.
• Strong academic record and a minimum of five peer‑reviewed publications.
• Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to engage students.
• Experience of 1‑5 years in teaching, research, or relevant industry roles.
