Assistant Manager – Sports Marketing

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Sports Marketing will support the Head of Sports Marketing in creating data‑driven communication strategies for Sony Ten Sports. The role focuses on translating consumer insights into compelling campaigns that boost viewership, market share, and channel ratings while aligning with the Sony brand.

Key responsibilities

• Develop launch and sustenance communication plans that align sport brand propositions with consumer insights.
• Translate strategic plans into creative briefs and define media mixes across print, outdoor, social, and digital channels.
• Brief and evaluate agency ideas, secure approvals, and ensure optimal media utilization within budget.
• Drive consistent social media engagement, build character presence, and grow the brand on digital platforms.
• Identify, onboard, and manage marketing, creative, ad, and event agencies based on project needs.
• Monitor vendor performance, provide feedback, and ensure timely delivery of campaign assets.
• Track key metrics such as share of voice, reach, engagement score, viewership, and budget efficiency.

Required profile

• Post‑Graduate Diploma in Management with a specialization in Marketing.
• Google AdWords certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sports or media marketing.
• Strong understanding of consumer preferences, broadcast industry dynamics, and BARC data.
• Excellent stakeholder and vendor management, communication, and analytical abilities.
