Assistant Manager – Planning & Procurement

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Planning & Procurement will oversee accessories planning for domestic OEM production, ensuring material availability and timely vendor coordination. This role bridges production, procurement, logistics and quality teams to maintain smooth operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare unit‑wise accessories planning sheets based on BOM.
• Monitor daily accessories stock via MIS and generate purchase orders for vendors.
• Follow up with vendors to avoid shortages and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Coordinate with warehouse, IQC, logistics, procurement and costing teams.
• Maintain minimum stock levels (MSL) in the system and generate performance reports.
• Answer supplier queries, manage excess/slow‑moving inventory reports, and conduct weekly production reviews.
• Integrate production data with procurement planning and update system records.

Required profile

• M.B.A, B.Tech or B.E. in Mechanical or related field.
• 7‑10 years of experience in the building‑materials industry, preferably in sales, network expansion, planning or procurement.
• Proven ability to drive revenue growth and manage capacity planning.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with ERP/production software.
• Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
