Assistant Manager – Logistics

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Logistics to lead and coordinate end‑to‑end logistics and shipping operations, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost‑effective movement of materials and finished goods. The role works closely with Customer Service, Planning, Warehouse, Sales, Transporters, Freight Forwarders, and Customs partners to meet business and customer commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily logistics and shipping activities aligned with customer requirements and business objectives.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely shipment execution and delivery.
• Manage vehicle planning, freight booking, shipment consolidation, route selection, and tracking to meet service, productivity, and cost targets.
• Oversee loading, dispatch readiness, and compliance with handling, safety, and quality standards.
• Handle transportation documentation, proof of delivery tracking, and resolve shipment exceptions and claims.
• Manage freight forwarding, customs clearance, and import/export documentation while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation in line with Customs, DGFT, FEMA, Incoterms, and company policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics, transportation, shipping, warehousing, and supply chain operations.
• Strong understanding of dispatch planning, freight management, shipment documentation, and logistics execution.
• Experience working with transporters, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and related partners.
