Assistant Manager Learning & Development

About the role

The Hoxton Bengaluru City is seeking an Assistant Manager Learning & Development to join its People & Culture team. You will shape and deliver learning initiatives that help staff grow, perform and build careers, working closely with hotel leaders and department heads so that the learning offer is practical and connected to the needs of the teams and business.

The hotel is set to open in Bengaluru city centre in 2026, with 149 bedrooms, an all-day dining restaurant and bar, a rooftop pool and bar, function rooms and an events space.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the business on anything relating to taking care of its teams, giving advice and guidance
• Implement and manage policies, processes and procedures in compliance with local employment law
• Build a talent pool through recruitment strategies that support succession planning
• Work with department heads to put in place development opportunities and career paths
• Embed The Hoxton values and promote a fair, safe and inclusive environment
• Run the talent review process, from informal chats and annual reviews to talent and career management
• Lead the "Do More" initiative with local charities and community projects
• Support managers on employee relations and performance management cases
• Contribute ideas to European and global projects and rollouts

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience across all aspects of human resources within the hospitality industry
• Previous experience opening a hotel is a big plus
• Comfortable recruiting at high volume
• Experience dealing with legal and performance issues
• Passion for hospitality and a desire to have a positive impact on people
