Assistant Manager – Housekeeping

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Housekeeping will support the delivery of premium hospitality standards by overseeing daily housekeeping operations, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role works closely with front‑desk, engineering, and loss‑prevention teams to maintain a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage housekeeping operations, budgets, and inventory of supplies and linen.
• Ensure up‑to‑date knowledge of OSHA regulations and enforce compliance.
• Oversee lost‑and‑found procedures and coordinate room‑cleaning assignments.
• Communicate guest‑room status promptly to the Front Desk and collaborate with Engineering on maintenance needs.
• Supervise inspection programs for guest rooms and public areas.
• Provide guidance and feedback to housekeeping staff, and act as supervisor in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager.
• Handle guest complaints, review comment cards, and promote exceptional customer service.

Required profile

• Proven experience in premium or luxury hotel operations.
• Professional background within the hotel industry.
• Strong understanding of housekeeping standards and guest‑service expectations.
