Assistant Manager – Housekeeping

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Housekeeping supports the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing all operational aspects of the housekeeping department at Andaz Delhi. This role ensures that guest rooms and public areas meet the brand’s cleanliness standards while managing inventory, inspections, and guest service issues.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inventory of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, linen and report to the Housekeeping Manager.
• Coordinate with the Finance Department for inventory‑taking of supplies and equipment.
• Inspect rooms regularly to maintain cleanliness standards and prevent the sale of defective rooms.
• Manage lost‑and‑found items and report pest‑control issues.
• Prepare VIP, special‑request and long‑stay rooms with appropriate amenities.
• Work with Front Office and Engineering to block rooms for maintenance.
• Ensure implementation of brand standards, Touches of Hyatt and Rooms Top 20.
• Handle guest and internal complaints, ensuring satisfactory resolution.
• Assist the Housekeeping Manager with administrative duties, departmental briefings, log books and monthly activity reports.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance records and support the Executive Housekeeper with financial tasks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping operations or supervisory roles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough inspections.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with guests, staff and other departments.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Front Office, Engineering and Finance teams.
• Customer‑focused mindset with capability to resolve complaints efficiently.
