Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage will support the day‑to‑day operations of the food and beverage department, ensuring high standards of service, guest satisfaction and financial performance. Reporting to the General Manager, this role combines operational oversight with team leadership in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing all food and beverage operations, maintaining quality, safety and cost controls.
• Create a motivated work environment that encourages teamwork, continuous improvement and excellent service.
• Provide prompt and proactive responses to employee concerns, using coaching techniques to develop staff.
• Deliver outstanding customer service, address guest complaints, and follow up to ensure resolution.
• Build lasting relationships with guests to encourage repeat business.
• Ensure compliance with corporate accounting procedures and support the GM with annual quality audits.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of food‑and‑beverage or culinary experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of luxury hospitality service standards.
• Ability to motivate staff, solve problems quickly and maintain a positive guest experience.
