Assistant Manager – Civil Projects

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Civil Projects will oversee all civil construction activities on large‑scale power plant and infrastructure sites. The role combines site supervision, cost estimation, budgeting and coordination with architects, engineers and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute site levelling, grading, temporary and permanent roads, drainage, de‑watering and other civil works, ensuring dust‑free and safe conditions.
• Prepare and manage budgets, cost estimates, bills of quantities, rate analysis and financial reporting for projects up to 660 MW.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality and compliance with building codes, safety regulations and ISO/HSE standards.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and trade workers on finishing works such as waterproofing, painting, tiling and sanitary installations.
• Supervise subcontractors, resolve conflicts, and provide detailed progress reports and adjustments.

Required profile

• BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering with 5–8 years of experience in civil construction for large power plants or high‑rise residential/industrial projects.
• Hands‑on experience with soil compaction, temporary drainage systems, de‑watering, and quality‑safety management in projects exceeding 500 MW.
• Familiarity with IS codes (e.g., IS 1200, IS 2720‑8, IS 10379) and ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).
• Proven ability to prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities and manage project budgets.
