Area Sales Executive – Laminate Project Sales

About the role

The Area Sales Executive (Project Sales) will drive growth for a laminate manufacturer in the Trivandrum region. You will identify new business opportunities, build relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors and builders, and help convert projects into sales.

Key responsibilities

• Specify Dorby laminate products to A, B and C‑grade architects and interior designers.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base and market share.
• Develop and execute strategies to meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Conduct market research and provide insights to senior management.
• Promote Dorby products to architects, interior designers, contractors and builders for project conversion.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients through meetings, calls and emails.
• Collect project information, supplement it with site research, and present appropriate product solutions.
• Ensure smooth brand specification and follow‑through for long‑term relationship building.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the laminate or building‑materials sector.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with architects, designers and contractors.
• Ability to conduct market research and translate insights into actionable plans.
