Area Manager – Professional Loans

About the role

The Area Manager – Professional Loans will lead a team of sales professionals across a defined geographical area, driving new market penetration and allocating resources to the most profitable opportunities. This role reports to senior leadership and works closely with channel partners, operations, and risk teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support the deployment of a sales team, exploring new markets and allocating resources to high‑value opportunities.
• Develop and manage channel partners effectively, setting productivity parameters for ASMs/SMs and reviewing performance weekly and monthly.
• Achieve and exceed business goals while fostering a compliant sales culture.
• Identify training needs, analyse market trends, and provide feedback to management.
• Implement promotional plans and contests, and suggest innovative promotions for the area.
• Retain high performers, replace under‑performers, and ensure strong employee engagement.
• Coordinate with Operations and Risk teams to optimise processes and profitability.
• Oversee collections of the acquired loan portfolio.

Required profile

• Relevant sales experience managing large sales channels in multiple market environments.
• Prior experience in the Financial Services Industry is an advantage.
• Demonstrated success, achievement orientation and strong communication skills.
• Bias for action, ability to lead from the front, and excellent relationship building.
• Strong analytical ability to drive channel performance and profitability.
• High motivation, self‑starter attitude, and ability to engage and motivate teams.
