Area Manager – Insurance Business Development (Aurangabad)

About the role

The Area Manager will drive insurance business growth across the assigned zone by partnering with bank branches and other channel partners. You will be responsible for securing new business, managing existing relationships, and ensuring consistent quarterly growth for Birla Sunlife Insurance.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve premium and revenue targets through continuous interaction with multiple bank branch heads.
• Map key decision‑makers, share relevant information with regional heads, and coordinate channel activities.
• Design and execute innovative branch initiatives to increase customer penetration.
• Ensure smooth sales processes, including sales calls, policy issuance, and complaint handling.
• Manage open‑architecture relationships, providing the best product mix (Traditional 50%, ULIP 40%, Term 10%).
• Identify new business opportunities, provide product feedback, and support training for in‑house and partner teams.
• Monitor business performance, maintain persistency targets, and conduct welcome calls to customers.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of insurance and banking products.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets in a channel‑partner environment.
• Excellent relationship‑management skills with bank stakeholders.
