Area FCU Manager – Risk Containment Unit

About the role

The Area FCU Manager leads the Risk Containment Unit (RCU) for the Bhopal region, ensuring a risk‑free onboarding of customers and effective fraud investigation. The role supports the organization’s goal of leading affordable finance through prudent risk control.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end‑to‑end RCU process, including pre‑sanction sampling, fraud savings, and hit‑rate monitoring.
• Manage vendor and agency relationships, ensuring timely and error‑free reporting, training, and escalation handling.
• Produce and submit MIS, billing, fraud alerts, and trend analyses on a regular basis.
• Conduct internal deduplication searches, digital investigations, and cross‑checks with internal reports (FI, technical, valuation, CAMA).
• Lead customer, channel/vendor, and internal meetings to investigate reported fraud cases and implement deterrent measures.
• Provide feedback to improve processes, identify policy gaps, and support ad‑hoc investigations.
• Design and deliver training programs for samplers, business users, and vendors to maintain high quality and delivery standards.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of current market practices in fraud detection, investigation, and analytics.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience managing fraud detection processes within NBFC/HFC mortgage businesses.
