Apprentice – Digital Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

Join Airbus India's Cyber Security department as an Apprentice in Digital Cybersecurity. This 12‑month program, starting May 2026, offers hands‑on experience in cutting‑edge security research, development, and cloud operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support security innovation and research projects exploring next‑generation cyber defenses.
• Assist in creating and automating security scripts, tools, and workflows.
• Help monitor global infrastructure and implement advanced guardrails across multi‑cloud environments (AWS, GCP).
• Contribute to the design, deployment, and maintenance of security solutions throughout the integrated security lifecycle.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate (B.Tech/M.Tech or equivalent) in Computer Science, IT, or related engineering field.
• No prior full‑time professional experience; internships and academic projects are welcome.
• Willingness to commit to the full 12‑month apprenticeship.
• Strong curiosity for security concepts and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Understanding of Windows and Linux internals relevant to security analysis.
• Familiarity with SOC workflows, the Cyber Kill Chain and common attack vectors.
• Theoretical knowledge of cloud security pillars and the shared‑responsibility model.
• Awareness of SIEM, CASB, CSPM and CNAPP concepts.
• Basic knowledge of AWS and GCP cloud environments.
