Apparel Designer – Kidswear

About the role

We are launching Wuh & Dird, a luxury kidswear label focused on heirloom quality and capsule‑wardrobe simplicity. As the Apparel Designer you will translate trend insights into timeless pieces for children aged 2‑8, overseeing the process from initial sketch through to production hand‑off.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop kidswear garments that reflect the brand’s luxury‑capsule vision, creating seasonal concepts, sketches and detailed flats.
• Develop placement and all‑over prints, including seamless repeats, colourways and production‑ready artwork that support each collection’s story.
• Research fabrics, trims and construction techniques that balance softness, durability and sustainability.
• Prepare and maintain crystal‑clear tech packs with graded specs, stitch counts, trims, BOMs and construction notes.
• Coordinate sampling, fit tests and wear trials with manufacturers, tracking revisions and ensuring comfort across age ranges.
• Manage vendor relationships, vetting manufacturers and fabric suppliers, supporting negotiations and onboarding, especially for sustainable materials.
• Document product development, sample photos and production notes in a digital archive and streamline workflow documentation.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of apparel design experience, preferably in kidswear or high‑street women’s wear.
• Proven ability to create production‑ready prints and seamless patterns.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, sizing for ages 2‑8 and safe material selection.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and capable of managing multiple deadlines remotely.
• Interest in fabric sourcing, sustainable materials and small‑batch production.
