Android Mobile Developer

About the role

Asymmetric Labs, an AI‑first ed‑tech startup, is looking for an Android Mobile Developer to join its product team in Bengaluru. You will help shape the learning experience for thousands of users by building high‑quality, scalable mobile features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and launch new features for the Android application from concept to production.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to define requirements and ensure performance and scalability.
• Optimize app performance, troubleshoot bugs, and continuously improve the user experience.
• Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and promote clean, maintainable code.
• Implement testing, observability, and CI/CD pipelines to support rapid delivery.
• Stay current with emerging Android technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and solid grasp of object‑oriented and functional programming.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Deep understanding of Android architectural components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room) and Clean Architecture principles.
• Passion for writing clean, modular code and a “tech‑purist” mindset.
• Ability to think in systems, evaluate trade‑offs, and work independently without over‑reliance on AI tools.
