About the role

EY is seeking an Analyst to join its Indirect Tax Core team within the Technology, Media, Telecom (TMT) practice in Mumbai. The role focuses on delivering tax compliance, advisory and litigation support for TMT clients, helping them navigate complex indirect tax regulations while driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze tax data, transactions and documentation to support indirect tax compliance and advisory work.
• Perform tax research and interpret regulatory requirements relevant to indirect taxation.
• Prepare accurate working papers, tax computations and client deliverables with strong attention to detail.
• Assist in tax assessments and contribute to litigation support as needed.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver integrated tax solutions for TMT clients.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of indirect tax concepts and their application within the TMT sector.
• Ability to work with large data sets and interpret complex tax regulations.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication skills to present findings to clients and internal stakeholders.
