Airport Representative

About the role

The Airport Representative provides front‑line guest services for a Marriott Westin property in Chennai, handling all aspects of check‑in, check‑out and guest inquiries to ensure a seamless experience.

Key responsibilities

• Process guest check‑ins, check‑outs, room assignments, late‑check‑out and room‑change requests.
• Secure payments, activate or re‑issue room keys, and verify billing accuracy.
• Communicate room availability to guests and coordinate with housekeeping on room status.
• Answer, record and resolve guest calls, requests and concerns, following up to ensure satisfaction.
• Provide directions, information and arrange transportation for guests and visitors.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and run daily reports, contingency lists and credit‑card authorisation reports.
• Count and secure cash at shift start and end, process all payment types and issue change.
• Notify loss prevention/security of any theft reports and follow company safety policies.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality and uphold quality‑assurance standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
• Strong communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.
• Commitment to teamwork, guest satisfaction and adherence to company policies.
