Guest Services Associate - Front Office

About the role

The Guest Services Associate works at the front desk of a Westin hotel, handling all guest interactions from arrival to departure. You will ensure smooth check‑ins and check‑outs, manage room assignments, and provide accurate information to enhance the guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Process guest check‑ins, check‑outs, room changes and late‑checkout requests.
• Secure payments, activate or re‑issue room keys, and verify billing accuracy.
• Coordinate with housekeeping to track room status and resolve guest concerns.
• Answer and log guest calls, requests, and complaints, following up to ensure satisfaction.
• Arrange transportation, provide directions, and supply local information.
• Handle cash, checks, vouchers and credit‑card authorisations, and balance the bank at shift start and end.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and run daily operational reports.
• Notify loss‑prevention/security of any theft or security incidents.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior work experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
• Commitment to company policies, confidentiality and safety standards.
