Airport Firefighter (ARFF Assistant)

About the role

Adani Airports Holding Limited is seeking an Assistant – Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) to join its airport emergency services team. The role involves responding to fire, medical and hazardous material incidents on airport premises, ensuring the safety of passengers, crew and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to aircraft incidents, structural fires, medical emergencies, hazardous material incidents and other emergencies on airport property.
• Perform firefighting, rescue and emergency medical services, including fire suppression with water, foam, dry chemicals and other agents.
• Conduct search and rescue operations in smoke‑filled or hazardous environments.
• Provide first aid and basic life support (BLS) until advanced medical personnel arrive, and assist in patient transport.
• Carry out daily inspections and maintenance of firefighting vehicles, extinguishers and personal protective equipment.
• Maintain inventory of firefighting supplies, participate in ICAO‑mandated training, fire drills and emergency simulations.
• Document incidents, training records and shift logs for regulatory audits.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and follow standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations on airport grounds.
• Physical fitness to operate in hazardous, smoke‑filled environments and handle firefighting equipment.
• Willingness to work shift patterns, participate in regular drills and maintain readiness at all times.

Required skills

• Fire suppression techniques using water, foam and dry chemical agents.
• Search and rescue operations in hazardous conditions.
• Basic life support (BLS) and first‑aid provision.
• Operation and maintenance of firefighting vehicles, extinguishers and personal protective equipment.
