Airport Firefighter (ARFF Assistant)

About the role

Adani Airports is seeking an Assistant for Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) to ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and airport personnel. The role involves responding to aircraft incidents, structural fires, medical emergencies, and hazardous material situations on airport premises.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to aircraft emergencies, structural fires, medical incidents, and hazardous material events.
• Perform fire suppression using water, foam, dry chemicals and other agents.
• Conduct search and rescue operations in smoke‑filled or hazardous environments.
• Provide first aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) until advanced medical personnel arrive.
• Maintain daily inspections, servicing, and readiness of firefighting vehicles, extinguishers, and PPE.
• Manage inventory of firefighting supplies and ensure compliance with ICAO‑mandated training and fire drills.
• Document incidents, training records, and shift logs for regulatory audits.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and follow Standard Operating Procedures.

• Physically fit individual capable of performing demanding firefighting and rescue tasks.
• Ability to work in high‑stress, time‑critical emergency situations.
• Commitment to maintain equipment readiness and follow safety regulations.

Required skills

• Firefighting techniques (water, foam, dry chemicals).
• Search and rescue operations in hazardous environments.
• First aid and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Operation and maintenance of firefighting vehicles, extinguishers, and personal protective equipment.
• Knowledge of ICAO fire safety standards and emergency response protocols.
