Airport Baggage Screener

About the role

The Screener ensures safe and efficient screening of hold baggage at Adani Airports, complying with regulatory standards and detecting prohibited items or security threats. This position operates advanced screening equipment, documents findings, and interacts with passengers and security staff to uphold the highest security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate X‑BIS equipment for image analysis to detect dangerous goods, prohibited articles, weapons, or ammunition in check‑in baggage.
• Perform physical inspections and ETD tests on baggage flagged during X‑ray screening.
• Maintain high Threat Image Projection (TIP) scores to demonstrate strong image interpretation capabilities.
• Follow BCAS and DGCA guidelines, ensuring strict compliance during baggage handling and inspection.
• Record and document all findings to meet audit and inspection requirements.
• Conduct routine pre‑operational checks of X‑BIS, ETD, CT‑EDS, and other security equipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions and assist in maintaining operational registers.
• Collaborate with CISF and airline staff during physical inspections and suspicious item resolutions.
• Provide timely updates to supervisors on ongoing operations or issues.

Required profile

• Completion of all regulatory trainings and successful clearance of each.
• Ability to maintain high TIP scores and demonstrate strong image interpretation.
• Strict adherence to BCAS and DGCA directives.
• Proficiency in conducting equipment pre‑operational checks and reporting issues.
• Effective coordination with CISF, airline personnel, and supervisory staff.
• Strong time‑management skills to ensure efficient baggage screening.
