Airline Nurse – Medical Department (Navi Mumbai)

About the role

The airline is seeking a qualified Nurse to join its Medical Department in Navi Mumbai. The role blends clinical care, regulatory testing, and administrative support to ensure the health and safety of crew, ground staff, and passengers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct DGCA‑mandated breath‑alcohol testing for cockpit crew, cabin crew, and ground personnel.
• Assist with random psychoactive‑substance testing in compliance with DGCA regulations.
• Provide first‑aid, attend to medical emergencies, and manage OPD patient assessments.
• Handle MEDIF passenger calls, gather medical information, and relay details to the on‑duty doctor.
• Prepare and maintain First Aid Kits, Medical Kits, Universal Precaution Kits, and AEDs.
• Arrange calibration, track movement of alcohol‑testing instruments, and download CCTV footage when required.
• Maintain medical records, DGCA‑mandated documentation, and manage medical inventory.
• Perform daily administrative tasks and execute duties assigned by the Head of Medical Services.

Required profile

• GNM Diploma or BSc Nursing (Registered Nurse) with a valid registration from the Nursing Council of India.
• 1–2 years of clinical or aviation medical experience (preferred).
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, handle emergencies, and work rotational shifts including nights.
• Commitment to confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
