Airframe Configuration Management Engineer

About the role

Airbus India is seeking an Airframe Configuration Management Engineer to join its Configuration Management & DMU Integration Team. The role focuses on driving aircraft change processes initiated by cabin customisations and design improvements, offering opportunities for technical growth and leadership development.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate change management activities, including modification management, feasibility studies, request for change, and catalogue contributions.
• Drive the aircraft change process linked to cabin customisations and design upgrades.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure proper configuration control and documentation.
• Support DMU integration and navigation of product structure.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master degree in Aerospace, Automotive or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in cabin/airframe engineering, configuration management or in‑service upgrades.
• Experience with aircraft cabin customisation, system installation or structural design.
• Familiarity with aircraft change processes (MOD, TRS, DQN) and development cycles (PDR, CDR).

• Airframe engineering – electrical/mechanical system installation or structural design.
• Aircraft configuration management and change‑process knowledge.
• Digital Mock‑Up (DMU) navigation and product‑structure understanding.
• PDM/VPM tools integration with CAD models.
• Project management to drive KPIs and improvements.
