AI Internship for Flight Control Laws

About the role

We are looking for a motivated student to join Airbus India’s team in Bangalore for a six‑month internship focused on applying artificial intelligence to flight control law analysis. The role bridges manual engineering analysis with AI‑driven automation, enhancing decision‑making and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Load, structure, and integrate historical document and discussion databases into a centralized AI environment.
• Assist in building and fine‑tuning a conversational chatbot capable of real‑time analysis and automated drafting.
• Connect and ingest live, time‑based data streams for trend detection and root‑cause analysis.
• Implement and test Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to improve output quality and reduce errors.
• Support deployment of solutions in secure, compliant environments with a focus on data privacy and local hosting.

Required profile

• Current student (undergraduate or graduate) in Computer Science, Data Science, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• Basic understanding of aircraft control laws and aerospace terminology.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Awareness of compliance and data‑security considerations.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Time‑series analysis for engineering data.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or on‑premise GPU environments.
• Data engineering skills to convert unstructured documents into searchable formats.
