Advanced Quality Engineer – Data & Testing

About the role

Invesco is seeking an Advanced Quality Engineer to lead testing initiatives for large‑scale data platforms supporting its asset‑management business. The role combines test strategy, data validation, and defect management across cloud and on‑premise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute test plans, test cases and test data for data‑intensive applications.
• Set up and maintain test environments, including database schemas and data loads.
• Manage defect lifecycle, perform root‑cause analysis and coordinate resolution with development teams.
• Validate Master Data Management (MDM) systems and large data sets for accuracy and performance.
• Monitor application logs, AWS resources (S3, Secrets Manager) and cloud cost models.
• Automate test execution where feasible, especially for large data pipelines.
• Generate status reports, metrics and obtain sign‑off from stakeholders.
• Work in shifts overlapping Eastern Time (up to 11 EST) and provide off‑hour support for production releases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Computer Science or related field (B.Tech or MCA).
• 3–5 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing, preferably in financial services or asset management.
• Proven experience with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, PostgreSQL) and writing stored procedures, views or tables.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux command line and log analysis.
• Ability to work in Agile environments and communicate test progress to project managers.
