Accounting Manager

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations within its Global Business Solutions organization. The role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant accounting activities supporting both corporate and statutory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting functions including cash reconciliation, general ledger management, month‑end and year‑end close, and variance analysis across global cash operations.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, corporate policies, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and sub‑ledger to GL reconciliations.
• Support audit requirements and deliver financial and operational reports on schedule.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering continuous improvement.
• Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging automation, AI, and standardisation across entities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, CA or equivalent preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS and statutory reporting.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, global environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
