Accountant – Full‑time, On‑site in Tiruppur

About the role

The Accountant position at Ambika Agencies is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Tiruppur. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day bookkeeping, maintaining ledgers, and ensuring accurate financial records for a trading business that deals with automotive spare parts.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain general ledgers.
• Prepare and issue invoices, manage accounts receivable and payable.
• Reconcile bank statements and handle cash transactions.
• Support inventory‑related accounting for spare parts.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Provide regular financial reports to management and collaborate with operations and sales teams.
• Help streamline accounting processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in double‑entry bookkeeping and ledger management.
• Proficiency with Indian tax regulations, including GST, TDS, and statutory filings.
• Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to resolve discrepancies.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certifications are a plus.
• Prior experience in accounting or accounts assistance, preferably in trading, distribution, or automotive spare‑parts environments.

Required skills

• Experience with Tally accounting software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets and reporting.
• Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.
