Accountant – Fast‑paced Fashion Startup

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant to handle financial transactions, maintain accurate records and support compliance in a fast‑paced, fashion‑first startup. The role is ideal for candidates with a solid grounding in accounting and experience using Tally who are eager to grow.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior accounts in bookkeeping and ledger maintenance using Tally.
• Support GST and TDS filing and prepare basic tax‑related documentation.
• Prepare and file invoices, shipment documentation, and export paperwork.
• Manage and organise accounting files and documentation, both physical and digital.
• Assist in monthly vendor and customer reconciliation.
• Provide HR and admin support, including payroll documentation and attendance tracking.
• Coordinate with merchandisers for purchase order and invoice matching.
• Handle daily petty‑cash expenses and office payments.
• Liaise with banks and auditors for day‑to‑day operations.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related roles.
• Proficiency in Tally and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with GST, TDS, and standard invoice formats.
• Strong filing and documentation skills.
• Experience with export documentation is a plus.
• Willingness to assist with HR and administrative tasks.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and eager to learn.
