Accountant – 3 to 5 Years Experience (Hyderabad)

About the role

Praja App is seeking a qualified Accountant with 3‑5 years of experience to oversee the full spectrum of accounting activities for its rapidly growing team. The role is based in Hyderabad and requires on‑site presence to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with Indian statutory regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain end‑to‑end accounting and bookkeeping, including general ledger management and journal entries.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, processing vendor invoices and customer payments.
• Perform bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations.
• Verify vendor invoices, process payments, and manage employee reimbursements.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PT, PF, and ESI regulations and manage statutory filings.
• Prepare MIS, management reports, and financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities and coordinate audits (statutory, internal, tax).
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management, and financial variance analysis.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a software/IT company.
• B.Com or M.Com degree; CA Inter is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Indian tax and statutory compliance (GST, TDS, PT, PF, ESI).
• Hands‑on experience preparing MIS reports and financial statements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Tally accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Experience using ERP or other accounting software.
