Yard Management DevOps Back-End Engineer

About the role

You will own end‑to‑end development of a Yard Management product, balancing standardisation, scalability and site‑specific customisation. The role combines consultancy, development, quality assurance and global collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Translate functional requirements into detailed technical specifications and design sustainable solutions.
• Customise a third‑party ABAP‑based solution and develop new add‑on functionalities for the Yard Management Standard Solution.
• Implement and maintain interfaces with SAP ERP, Transportation Management (TM) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) systems.
• Manage global and site‑specific releases using SAP Solution Manager (SOLMAN) processes.
• Perform unit testing, support functional testing and UAT, and automate regression tests.
• Collaborate with multicultural, geographically distributed teams and contribute to a global yard logistics template.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an ABAP developer or in a similar SAP role.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA TM configuration, enhancement and technical architecture.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP OO, BAdIs, user exits and the enhancement framework.
• Experience with SAP integration technologies such as IDocs, BAPIs, SOAP/REST web services and SAP Integration Suite (CPI/API Management).
• Background in SAP R/3 to S/4 migration and multi‑ERP integration projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related field.
