Windows and Virtualization System SME

About the role

NXP is looking for a Windows and Virtualization System Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Noida to become an ambassador for the Agile and DevOps way of working within its global organization. The role sits in a startup team driving NXP's digital transformation, with strong emphasis on development, coaching and building a supportive environment for the team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and prepare solution blueprints, including high-level and low-level designs, for migrating, integrating or transforming services in on-premises, hybrid and cloud (Azure and AWS) environments
• Integrate virtualization, clustering and compute technologies with patching solutions (WSUS, SCCM), storage, backup, databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL) and middleware
• Lead datacenter migrations, including P2V and VM migration across platforms, and design and support active-active datacenters with virtualization and clustering
• Automate the technology stack with Ansible, Git, Splunk, REST APIs and native OS scripting, and monitor with Splunk, Zabbix, HPE OneView and native tools
• Ensure product license compliance, research and test technology products, and define monitoring KPIs and thresholds
• Document DR architecture, maintain a technology refresh roadmap, and coordinate upgrades and infrastructure migrations
• Support incident, problem, change and risk management, root cause analysis and audits, and report findings and roadmaps to IT managers and stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
• 15+ years of experience in an IT architecture or SME role
• Preferred: related technology certifications
• Leadership, decision-making and team-building abilities, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Clear communication and training skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
