Linux and UNIX Architect / SME

About the role

NXP is looking for a Linux and UNIX Architect / Subject Matter Expert in Noida to join its IT team and act as an ambassador for the Agile and DevOps way of working within the global organization. The role covers deep hands-on expertise in Linux, AIX, Solaris, clustering, virtualization and datacenter infrastructure, with a strong focus on migrations, automation and monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Design and prepare solution blueprints and high- and low-level designs for infrastructure solutions, and implement, migrate, integrate or transform services in on-premises, hybrid and cloud (Azure and AWS) environments
• Integrate technologies with storage, backup, network and database solutions (Satellite, Dell, NetApp, Pure Storage, Networker, Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL) and support datacenter migrations, including P2V and VM migrations
• Design, configure and support active-active datacenters with virtualization and clustering, and define DR architecture for business continuity
• Automate the technology stack with Ansible, Git, Splunk, REST APIs and native OS scripting, and monitor with Splunk, Zabbix, HPE OneView and native OS tools
• Ensure product license compliance, research and test technology products, and build a roadmap for technology refresh
• Manage and standardize infrastructure, define monitoring KPIs and thresholds, and coordinate upgrades and migrations with project teams
• Support incident, problem, change and risk management, root cause analysis and audits, and report findings and roadmaps to IT managers and stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
• 15+ years of experience in an IT architecture or SME role
• Leadership, decision-making and team-building abilities, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication and training skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
