Windows and Virtualization System Architect / SME

About the role

NXP is looking for a Windows and Virtualization System Architect / Subject Matter Expert in Noida to join its digital transformation team. The role acts as an ambassador for the Agile and DevOps way of working within the global NXP organization, with strong emphasis on coaching, development and a supportive environment for the team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and prepare solution blueprints, including high-level and low-level designs, for migrating, integrating or transforming services in on-premises, hybrid and cloud (Azure and AWS) environments
• Integrate virtualization, clustering and compute hardware with patching solutions (WSUS, SCCM), storage, backup, databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL) and middleware
• Lead datacenter migrations, including P2V and VM migration across platforms, and design and support active-active datacenters with virtualization and clustering
• Automate the technology stack with Ansible, Git, Splunk, REST APIs and native OS scripting, and monitor with Splunk, Zabbix, HPE OneView and native OS tools
• Ensure product license compliance, research and test technology products, and define monitoring KPIs and thresholds
• Document DR architecture, maintain a technology refresh roadmap, and coordinate upgrades and infrastructure migrations
• Support incident, problem, change and risk management, root cause analysis and audits, and report findings and roadmaps to IT managers and stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
• 15+ years of experience in an IT architecture or SME role
• Leadership, decision-making, team-building and problem-solving skills, with strong analytical and communication abilities
• Ability to work calmly under pressure in high-stakes situations

• Windows operating systems, clustering and blade server technologies (HPE Synergy, C7000)
