VMC CNC Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The VMC CNC Maintenance Engineer will work full‑time on‑site at Vico Forge's Vapi facility, ensuring that VMC and CNC machines operate reliably and efficiently. You will be responsible for both routine and corrective maintenance, supporting production continuity in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues on VMC and CNC equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules and record all activities.
• Coordinate repairs, manage spare‑parts inventory, and support installation of new machinery.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve machine‑related concerns.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns during operating hours, including shift work when required.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience in automotive or heavy‑manufacturing settings, preferably with CNC/VMC machines.
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and electrical/mechanical schematics.
• Knowledge of safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and industrial housekeeping.
