About the role

We are looking for a Vehicle Diagnostic Content Author to develop and maintain diagnostic procedures and ECU flashing processes for automotive systems. The role involves creating content for remote diagnostics, testing, and documentation in collaboration with international teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance vehicle diagnostic procedures (programming, configuration, adaptation) for both on‑board and remote diagnostics.
• Apply standard fault codes, create fault‑code description files and link them within the diagnostic object structure.
• Test and validate diagnostic procedures and control‑unit functions using simulation tools and collaborate with ETAS partners in Germany.
• Develop flashing, coding and commissioning procedures for control units, including after‑sales retrofitting.
• Create vehicle simulation files, verify service data packages, and analyse test results from traces and log files.
• Document findings, prepare status reports and present results to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience in automotive diagnostic procedure development and ECU flashing.
• Ability to work with simulation environments and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating test data and producing clear documentation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of gasoline, diesel, comfort and safety systems.
• Understanding of sensors and actuators used in these systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as OBD‑II scanners, multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to identify and interpret Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
• Experience conducting vehicle and component testing.
