Unix/Linux Consultant – Identity & Access Management

About the role

We are looking for a Unix/Linux Consultant to manage identity lifecycles and access controls across our enterprise environment. The role involves handling L1/L2 tickets, creating change requests, and providing on‑call support for critical incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 support for Unix/Linux servers and resolve tickets promptly.
• Create and manage change requests related to access and configuration changes.
• Provision, modify, and de‑provision user and service accounts in Unix/Linux systems.
• Develop Bash or Python scripts to automate provisioning, access requests, and routine audits.
• Conduct regular user access reviews to ensure audit compliance and remediate unauthorized permissions.
• Troubleshoot Tier 2/3 authentication issues, SSH failures, and privilege escalation problems.
• Define, audit, and maintain Role‑Based Access Control (RBAC) models and file system permissions.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, including weekend coverage.

Required profile

• Good knowledge of Unix/Linux server administration.
• Experience with shell scripting and command‑line utilities.
• Ability to handle L1/L2 tickets and create change requests.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting authentication and permission issues.
