Trainee Officer Matching & Styling

About the role

This trainee position supports the Color team in developing new automotive coating colors for customers in India. Working under senior guidance, you will contribute to color matching, styling and profitability initiatives while ensuring compliance with BASF and ISO standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute new color development for specific customers and evaluate new color materials.
• Perform color matching and duplication of unknown colors based on competitor panels.
• Create new color styles without a predefined target panel.
• Collaborate with Key Account Managers, TPMs and distributors to drive profitable solutions.
• Follow technical guidelines for pigmentation and support ISO & IATF related activities.
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members and communicate with customization, production and SCM teams.
• Ensure EHS compliance, support ISO14001 initiatives and carry out 5S activities.

Required profile

• B.Tech/M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering or a Diploma in Surface Coatings.
• 1‑3 years of experience in automotive coating development.
• Strong knowledge of automotive coating ingredients and formulation technology.
