About the role

Pocket Journey Tours is looking for a full‑time Tourism Specialist to join its on‑site team in Mala. You will design personalized travel itineraries, advise clients on destinations and packages, and coordinate all booking aspects to ensure smooth journeys.

Key responsibilities

• Create and customize travel itineraries based on client preferences.
• Provide detailed information on destinations, accommodations, transportation, and local activities.
• Manage reservations, maintain accurate records, and process bookings.
• Collaborate with partners, vendors, and local service providers.
• Promote tour packages through basic sales and marketing activities.
• Handle client inquiries, feedback, and resolve issues before and during trips.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Knowledge of travel and tourism practices, regional destinations, and itinerary planning.
• Sales and marketing ability to convert inquiries into bookings.
• Ability to work on‑site, manage time effectively, and handle multiple client requests.
• Basic computer literacy, familiarity with reservation systems or office software.
• Prior experience in travel, tourism, or hospitality is an advantage.
• Relevant education in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in local languages and English with strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
