Test Manager – Mainframe, SAP & TPF Solutions

About the role

The Test Manager will lead testing activities for complex enterprise solutions built on Mainframe, SAP MDM, NW, GDS and IBM TPF platforms. Working in a hybrid model, you will define test strategies, coordinate execution across distributed teams, and ensure high‑quality releases for critical travel‑intermediary processes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain a comprehensive test strategy for Mainframe, SAP MDM, NW, GDS and IBM TPF systems.
• Plan and execute functional, regression, integration and system test phases.
• Coordinate test planning and execution across hybrid, distributed teams.
• Design test scenarios that validate end‑to‑end travel reservation workflows.
• Develop detailed test cases and reusable data sets covering core functions, edge cases and performance flows.
• Manage the defect lifecycle from identification through triage, retesting and closure.
• Collaborate with development, support, infrastructure and business stakeholders to resolve quality risks.
• Monitor test progress and quality metrics, providing status updates and data‑driven decisions.
• Optimize test processes, promote reuse of assets and align with enterprise standards.
• Coordinate user‑acceptance testing and guide automation and performance testing specialists.

Required profile

• Strong travel‑domain exposure, especially reservations, ticketing, fares and pricing.
• Hands‑on experience with high‑volume transactional flows in travel intermediaries.
• Proven knowledge of IBM TPF/zTPF, including OS internals, runtime behavior, TPFDF and related tooling.
• Solid understanding of GDS reservation ecosystems, PNR, SSR, TTY and end‑to‑end booking lifecycle.
• Comfort with complex integration landscapes involving TPF, Linux, Windows and legacy mainframe components.
